Hello, I'm Pam Kelly.

I've been a "life-cycle" prepper, not doomsday prepper, ever since 1996, after experiencing devastating financial and tactical unpreparedness in the aftermath of Hurricane Fran.

I had insufficient cash on hand, out of work for several days and ATMs weren't working due to power outage. I didn't have much in there really, until my next paycheck (no matter that I had a great salary and a "Phat" 401K at the time). 

It was summertime and a freezer full of food had to be cooked on a small grill and consumed quickly. To keep food cold, I had to drive 100 (50 miles round trip) to Greensboro to wait in line, to get ice! After the defrosted hot dogs, burgers, and chicken, it was canned food and cereal for several more days.  

By God's grace, we still had running water!  Fortunately, my wonderful kids, who are now two awesome adults, remember it only as the greatest camp-out adventure! They still got three square meals a day, some way, somehow. It was then, I decided to never again find myself, or my young children at that time, in such a vulnerable position again. I could hold no one responsible for the unpreparedMESS I found myself in! It was a turning point. I had to change!

I became a life-cycle prepper then, and began to practice better financial, strategic, and tactical preparedness habits. Change doesn't come overnight.  It's been a journey of ups, downs, resets.  In truth, there is no perfect preparedness plan!  That's where faith kicks in! After you've done all you can, you pray, keep it moving, and in the most challenging of times, you wait on God and STAND!  Ephesians 6:13

In the years since I have been co-Owner of a successful business since 2008, GoodEarthDomains.com, and possess 30+ combined years in media technology, mobile app development,  computer aided design, and most importantly preparedness activism.

In February 2020, I founded Perennial Preparedness NC, currently dba WePrepare.US™ to promote faith-based financial resilience, using a cash flow tool that I've used ever since Hurricane Fran called 5-10-10-75™.  For more information on 5-10-10-75™ click here. 

The following month, March 2020, COVID descended upon the world. Thankfully, I was in a better position - financially, strategically, tactically, and spiritually - to weather the storm this time.

The Problem ...an unprepared populace.

In the years since, I've become aware that majority of Americans remain unprepared - financially, strategically, and tactically - to overcome, revive, and thrive in the aftermath of natural and man-made at-risk events.  As of 2023, it was reported by Payroll.com,  that 78% (a 15% increase from 2022) of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. 

The pathology of financial & strategic unpreparedness causes missed opportunity, lost productivity, stress, strife, and decreased quality of life. As a citizen, a Christian, a parent, a caregiver, I find the current economic trajectory of many families in America unacceptable.  

Furthermore the American economy has been "unpreparedness-driven" from it's inception, with certain industries "profiteering"  from the financial, strategic, tactical, physical bondage and unpreparedness of American citizens. I call this a 1619 Legacy Economy.

Why? Because this pathology of profiteering at the expense of Americans began with the legalized enslavement of the 1st "Americans" of African descent in 1619.

Moreover, our Federal Govt. is irrevocably in debt, resulting in a federal governance that is economically at-risk and reactionary, rather than fiscally prepared and responsive, even more so in the aftermath of the global pandemic.

A Solution...A more prepared populace, through "preparedness equity".

Only "preparedness equity" in modern times can resolve the centuries of racialized disparity in America. What is Preparedness Equity? It is equity of access to opportunity to become financially, strategically, tactically, preparedness-strong and resilient, life long. 

A preparedness-driven economy, where Preparedness Equity is a Prime Directives,  is the only way to build a better nation. It is time for a new century of  cultural maturity, financial wisdom, and economic activism. Don't wait for it to begin in Washington.

It will have to start in the households of America. Never spend 100% of your dollar.  Save 10%+, Give 10%, Spend wisely,75% or less, Invest 5%+ in kinship community business. We call it 5-10-10-75™  or "Bucketing Your Dollar...like a Boss! 

5-10-10-75™, when used by individuals, families, and the business community, has the potential to create a more collectively prepared, prosperous, and resilient populace, a vastly more productive & innovative economy, and a more "socially just" society.
